It’s a cheap, manual, turbo wagon that shares it’s powertrain and platform with one of the spunkiest sport compacts of the 2000s, and makes addictive turbo noises and exhaust blat when uncorked.
Not bad, eh?

I do not like it, Sam I Am.

I’d rather have the SRT4 Skittle version.
Side note: The stock shifter is so bad in those cars. Its like it was sourced from a school bus.

Makeup on a pig...

Not THAT big a fan of it, being a PT Cruiser, but I far from hate it, since it DOES equate to being a more practical SRT4.
So...maybe a 6 or 7 out of 10 in my books.

I wouldn’t exactly call a bigger, turbocharged engine with forged internals “makeup.”

Can confirm. Luckily, there are aftermarket solutions.

Fair enough.

PT Cruiser trumps all. I’d rather swap a regular Neon or even a freakin’ Stratus.

I think the PT Cruiser gets a lot of hate it doesn’t really deserve. Styling-wise, sure, it’s a goofy retromobile. But really, it’s a fat Neon under there. The Neon was all right for its time.
I vote “not bad.”

Love it! Where is a review on this thing!?

10/10 would drive, crank up the juice and make it a Hell of a sleeper. I never understood the sheer hatred the PTC gets. The looks can be polarizing, sure, but aside from the turn of the millennium Chrysler quality issues it was never a terrible car.

It’s a shame that it’s so damn ugly

Makes a good sleeper. Is there any way to swap a neon’s rear suspension into one of these? Could be a fun little track toy but i don’t think the stock solid axle with watts link is ideal. looks like an evolution of a K-car rear suspension.

I bet somebody’s found a way to make one fit.

No. The chassis is garbage, it’s godawful slow despite having “MUH SRT-4 ENGINE”, ugly as shit, build quality is terrible, interior is terrible. Only good thing about them is they’ve got halfway decent reliability. Though at 60k miles my mom’s randomly decided to shit out the subframe so who knows.
